This year’s Pediatric Year in Review will highlight the most recent developments in four areas of pediatric pulmonary medicine: cystic fibrosis, asthma, primary ciliary dyskinesia and bronchiectasis, and neuromuscular disorders.
The Sunday, May 19, session will take place at 2:15 p.m. PT in Room 6B (Upper Level) of the San Diego Convention Center.

Attendees will learn about the role of “omics” technologies and personalized medicine in improving clinical outcomes in pediatric patients with respiratory disease, as well as the impact of access to care and medication costs on patient outcomes and health disparities.
- Meghan E. McGarry, MD, University of California, San Francisco, will provide an update on cystic fibrosis modulators and beyond.
- Theresa W. Guilbert, MD, MS, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, will address omics and biologics and their role in precision medicine in asthma.
- Caroline Okorie, MD, MPH, Stanford University, will discuss the management of neuromuscular disorders in children.
