Secure the Best Rates & Lodging for the ATS 2024 International Conference

Registration for the ATS 2024 International Conference in San Diego is officially open! Those looking forward to attending this year’s premier respiratory health conference should take advantage of the early registration period for the best rates and lodging choices.

Become a member of the ATS and save $495 on your registration fee. That’s more than an entire year’s worth of ATS membership dues. Nonmembers planning to attend ATS 2024 are encouraged to join the Society to enjoy these savings in addition to the multitudinous benefits of becoming a contributing member of the world’s leading medical society dedicated to accelerating the advancement of global respiratory health.

Attendees who register early for ATS 2024 will also ensure they receive a hotel room at one of the ATS-approved hotels. In addition to the convenient locations, the ATS has worked with these hotels to guarantee the lowest rates in the city. Attendees must register for the conference before booking a contractual hotel room. Those who register on the ATS conference website will be directed to book their lodging as soon as their registration is confirmed. While registrants will be required to provide credit card information when reservations are made, a deposit will not be drawn until the week before the conference.

Those traveling to San Diego from countries outside the United States are advised to check citizens’ and visitors’ U.S. passport and visa policies. A citizen of a foreign country who seeks to enter the United States generally must first obtain a U.S. visa, which is placed in the traveler’s passport, a travel document issued by the traveler’s country of citizenship. Learn more about how to obtain a visa on the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs website.

Global attendees should be prepared to provide supplementary information explaining their purpose of travel with their visa application. The following supplementary information is recommended:

  • A letter of invitation to ATS 2024. You may generate a customized letter here or request that one be mailed to you by e-mailing your name, address, passport number, and arrival and departure dates to [email protected]. Please be sure the name on the letter of invitation matches the one on your passport and not the name that is in your ATS membership profile.
  • If you are a speaker or have an accepted abstract for ATS 2024, please include your acceptance letter with your supplementary information.
  • Please provide a letter from your institution, training director, or employer stating that you have been given time to attend ATS 2024 and are expected back at your place of employment on a specific date. Be sure the letter uses the name that is on your passport.
  • Provide information on your ATS 2024 registration (confirmation number), hotel confirmation, and flight information. Be sure you register with your passport name and that your hotel and airline reservations are also made in the name on your passport.

Once travelers arrive in the U.S., they must pass through Customs and Border Protection.

Some international travelers may also qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in consultation with the U.S. State Department. The program permits citizens of 41 countries to travel to the United States for business or tourism for stays of up to 90 days without a visa. Learn more about the requirements of the VWP on the Department of Homeland Security website.
