At each ATS International Conference, the Clinical Year in Review sessions feature emerging leaders in respiratory medicine who provide an overview of the most current and relevant literature for key areas of respiratory health.

Sara Auld, MD, MSc, associate professor, Emory University School of Medicine, and the 2025 Clinical Year in Review chair, describes these sessions as a unique opportunity to hear a curated review from leading experts in 16 separate subfields.
“Attendees can leave the session feeling confident that they are up to date with recent advances in care across the ATS subspecialties,” said Dr. Auld.
Designed to be widely accessible to clinicians, researchers, and medical professionals from across pulmonary and critical care specialties, each day’s installment features investigative insights on four unique topics. Both of the first two series installments will be hosted from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. PT in the Moscone Center, Esplanade Ballroom (South Building, Upper Mezzanine).
The first two days will cover a wide range of topics, from asthma to sepsis.

- Interventional Pulmonary

Clinical Year in Review: Day 2 (Monday, May 19)

Collectively, these sessions provide “an incredibly high-yield overview of the most impactful research and clinical developments across the wide range of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine that ATS members encounter on a daily basis,” said Dr. Auld.
Co-Chairs Ayodeji O. Adegunsoye, MD, MS, University of Chicago, and Juliana C. Ferreira, MD, PhD, ATSF, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, join Dr. Auld in organizing the sessions.
